Dick Hyman and Robert White

Legendary pianist Dick Hyman was named a Jazz Master by the National Endowment for the Arts in 2017. Since the early '50s he has enjoyed a busy musical career as a pianist, organist, arranger, music director, and composer. His versatility in all of these areas has resulted in a career involving film scores, orchestral compositions, concert appearances, and well over 100 albums recorded under his own name. In 2017, Mr. Hyman received an honorary doctorate from the Julliard School of Music.

Mr. Hyman's concert compositions for piano and orchestra include a concerto and his Ragtime Fantasy. Other works include a clarinet concerto, a cantata based on the autobiography of Mark Twain and Bottle It Up for voices and chamber orchestra. He has also composed a variety of chamber music pieces. In addition to his activities in the jazz and concert worlds, Mr. Hyman has had a prolific career in New York as a studio musician and won seven Most Valuable Player awards from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He has served as composer/arranger/conductor/pianist for 12 Woody Allen films.

In his lifelong singing career, the American tenor Robert White has sung for five U.S. Presidents, Britain's Queen Mother and Prince Charles, Monaco's Royal Family, and Pope John Paul II. He is a member of the vocal faculty at the Julliard School of Music.
