Jake Stamatis has performed a variety of roles on the operatic stage. His repertoire includes not only dramatic roles from Verdi, Donizetti, and Puccini, but also comedic roles from Rossini, Mozart, and Gilbert & Sullivan.

In the 2026-27 season, Jake made his role debut as Danilo in The Merry Widow at the Sarasota Opera. Other season highlights include returning to favorite roles of Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia, and The Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance, as well as many other role debuts, including John Dickinson in 1776, Mercutio in Romeo et Juliette, Belcore in L’elisir d’amore, and Albert in Werther. Jake covered the role of Altair in Stauss’ Die ägyptische Helena with Bard Summerscape, and is thrilled to return to the Sarasota Opera in the 2027 Winter Festival Season as Captain Corcoran in HMS Pinafore.

Jake has been a studio artist at Sarasota Opera, a fellow at the Music Academy of the West, an emerging artist at Seagle Music Festival, and an artist in residence with both Tri-Cities Opera and Opera Memphis. Jake currently resides in New York City.
