Alturas Duo, Guitar, Viola

The Alturas Duo is praised by The Washington Post as playing with “marvelous virtuosity,” and is recognized as one of the most engaging ensembles performing chamber music today. Bringing together the worlds of South American folk and contemporary classical, guitarist Scott Hill and violist and charango player Carlos Boltes have performed throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Central and South America to great acclaim.

Jenny Conlee, Piano, Accordian, Keyboard

Jenny Conlee is a pianist, accordionist, and keyboardist from Portland Oregon best known as a founding member of the indie-rock band The Decemberists. She plays and records with many other PNW artists as well including The Minus 5, Black Prairie, Margo Cilker, Casey Neill, Glitterfox and others. Conlee is also an accomplished composer of instrumental music.

Meghan Jones, Violinist; Stephanie Block, Violist; and Stephanie Powell, Harpist

Meghan Jones is the assistant principal second violin with the Sarasota Orchestra, and a member of the Breckenridge Music Festival. She is also a member of the New World Symphony and the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. Phoebe Powell has been praised for her breadth of expression ranging from “mature and virtuosic to gorgeously musical and sweet.” She is the Principal Harpist of the Sarasota Orchestra. Stephanie Block is the Principal Violist of the Sarasota Orchestra.  She is currently a trialist with the London Philharmonic and has performed with the Chicago and London Symphony Orchestras.

Pete BarenBregge, Saxophone

Peter BarenBregge’s career in music spans over 50 years and embodies a unique blend of performance, education, and leadership. As a renowned saxophonist and woodwind performer, Peter’s journey began in education as a middle school band director before he entered a 20-year career with the United States Air Force premier jazz ensemble, the Airmen of Note, in Washington, D.C. After retiring, In 2017, Peter relocated to Venice, Florida, where he continues to work in music editing and has a busy performance schedule.

Peter BarenBregge’s career in music spans over 50 years and embodies a unique blend of performance, education, and leadership. Jake Stamatis, Baritone

Jake Stamatis has performed a variety of roles on the operatic stage. His repertoire includes not only dramatic roles from Verdi, Donizetti, and Puccini, but also tcomedic roles from Rossini, Mozart, and Gilbert & Sullivan. In the 2026-27 season, Jake made his role debut as Danilo in The Merry Widow at the Sarasota Opera. Jake is appearing in association with the Sarasota Opera.

Dave Bennett, Clarinet

Dave Bennett began his national touring career at the age of 14. He has been a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall with The New York Pops (2013). Dave is a recording artist on jazz label Mack Avenue Records. Dave has recently joined forces with guitarist/vocalist/pastor Tom Hampton for Dave’s first gospel recording “Coming Home.” This project has been a dream come true for both Dave and Tom and they are excited venture on this new musical path. Dave Bennett is appearing in association with the Jazz Club of Sarasota.
