Manjari Chatterjee Miller
During his career at the U.S. Department of State, Amb. Charles S. Shapiro held a number of senior positions including Ambassador to Venezuela, acting assistant secretary for the Western Hemisphere, and Coordinator for Cuban Affairs.
In 2022 Amb. Shapiro started working with the Pendleton Group as a consultant. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of Agnes Scott College. In 2014 Amb. Shapiro became president of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, his hometown. While at the World Affairs Council, he also taught international business at the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. In 2011 Amb. Shapiro became the president of the Institute of the Americas, a think tank at the University of California San Diego.
Amb. Shapiro's op-eds have been published in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the Miami Herald, the San Diego Union Tribune and the Los Angeles Times.
Amb. Shapiro holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Georgia State University, and served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve.
