Aquila Sol, soprano, is a Senior studying for her BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of Michigan with a minor in Performing Arts Management & Entrepreneurship. She is originally from Carlsbad, CA, where her life in the theatre began at age 9. Since moving to Ann Arbor, she has been in University Productions such as Bernarda Alba, Rent, and Guys & Dolls, and worked on new pieces that are currently in development such as Marian (Eleanor Roosevelt), Siluetas, and Gavin Creel's Loud Nite. She has spent her summers performing at The Encore Theatre in 42nd Street and Oklahoma! Jacob Kerzner, pianist, is the Associate Editor for the George and Ira Gershwin Critical Edition at the University of Michigan, where they are the editing the forthcoming volumes La, La, Lucille, George's first full Broadway show including recently rediscovered songs and orchestration, and Of Thee I Sing, the first "musical play" to win a Pulitzer Prize. Recent productions include Pipe Dream (Berkshire Theatre Group), Sweet Charity (Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), Tribute: Simon & Garfunkel (The Encore), The Falling and the Rising (Opera Memphis), Oklahoma! (St. Ann's Warehouse), Jerome Robbins' Broadway (The Muny) and Hadestown (The Citadel Theatre). |
