coqui_barcena.jpg Amb. Bárcena Coqui was a career diplomat who served as Mexico’s Ambassador to Denmark, Turkey, and the United States. Her tenure in Washington coincided with the first Trump Administration and she was a key player in renegotiating the terms of the United States Mexico/Canada Agreement, the successor of the North American Free Trade Agreement. She is currently a fellow with the Center for Strategic and International Studies as well as a frequent commentator on foreign policy in various Mexican publications.
