Jeffrey Moon is President of China Moon Strategies, LLC, a consulting firm he founded in 2017 after leaving the White House, where he served as Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for China Affairs and previously at the National Security Council. His extensive experience in Asia includes ten years working in China since he first visited that country in 1984. During a 21-year career as a U.S. State Department diplomat, he served in Beijing, Chengdu and Taiwan, and was assigned in Washington, D.C. to the China Desk and the predecessor of the Cyberspace Bureau. After retiring from the Foreign Service, Mr. Moon was Vice President of Asia-Pacific Policy & Government Affairs at Cisco Systems and Vice President of Worldwide Government Relations & Public Policy at Dolby. He was assigned to Beijing, Silicon Valley and Washington, D.C. in roles focused primarily on business in China. Mr. Moon began his career as an attorney at the Skadden, Arps law firm in Washington, D.C. He is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and Columbia Law School. |
